ALL MEETINGS***OVERVIEW
Please arrive promptly!!! so all meetings can begin on time. Please make sure you sign-in at all meetings. Any changes in date, time or place of meeting will be communicated through announcements, telephone relays and/or notification in the DELEGATE newsletter. (Delegate newsletter - information from S.I. Federation of PTAs' president and committees)

FEDERATION EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETINGS:  
Federation Officers and the Executive Board Committee Chairs attend.

DELEGATE ASSEMBLIES:
Four (4) delegates and two (2) alternates from each school attends. All delegates should attend every Delegate Assembly. Delegate Assembly Alternates are welcome but not required to attend if delegates are in attendance.
No more than FOUR (4) votes per school.
Please be advised that in order to qualify for Officer Elections in May and have voting power in the elections you must attend at least 3 delegate meetings by March [please make sure you sign in at all meetings to verify attendance].

PRESIDENTS' COUNCIL: PTA presidents are required to attend these meetings. The  District 31 Presidents' Council is represented by all elementary and intermediate schools PTA presidents on Staten Island. The Staten Island High School Presidents' Council is represented by PTA presidents of all Staten Island high schools.

SPECIAL WORKSHOPS AND COMMITTEE MEETINGS: The appropriate individuals should attend. If the position is not filled, the PTA President should attend.

COMMUNITY EDUCATIONAL COUNCIL MEETINGS a/k/a [C.E.C.]:
There are two types of meetings: Business and Calendar meetings, District 31 council is held at the Petrides Complex. The High School Council and the District 75 council are city wide whose meetings alternate throughout the five boroughs They are open to the public, and anyone can attend.

BUSINESS MEETINGS: You may observe meetings, but you cannot speak at these business meetings.

CALENDAR MEETINGS: An open forum for parents to discuss educational issues at the elementary and intermediate level. Please attend these meetings to express your concerns and to demonstrate parental interest.
NOTE**** THE COMMUNITY EDUCATIONAL COUNCIL [C.E.C] is the parent council that has replaced the Community School Board in accordance with the new law.

PANEL ON EDUCATION POLICIES: a/k/a [P.E.P.]
Meetings are held once a month alternating their locations throughout the five boroughs.
There is time for public comment usually the last 30 or 40 minutes depending on their agenda.
